Celebrated Melbourne photographer Rennie Ellis is known for his candid snaps of entertainers and artists, leaders and socialites. These shots, mostly taken in the 1970s and 80s, capture famous figures in their element, at work and at play. The portraits also provide tantalising glimpses of a raw, uncensored slice of Australian life.
